Our Ethos

Lanterne Stripes

At Warwick Lanterne Rouge we provide a friendly, welcoming and inclusive environment for cyclists from all backgrounds.

​

Committed to growing participation in cycling, we promote grassroots racing and provide a calendar of social club activities that appeal to cyclists of all levels. Predominantly a road cycling club although we have a growing contingent of members who do multi cycling disciplines including CX, Gravel and Time Trials.

​​

Through an active volunteering programme, our members are encouraged to give back in a way that is a positive experience for everyone.

​

The Core Collective

Chairs the committee meetings and AGM, assist the Club secretary to produce the agendas, head the
committee in making decisions for the benefit of the whole club including disciplinary matters and
strategic planning. Acting as spokesperson/figurehead as and when required.

Club Secretary

Andrew Jones

​

The Club Secretary is responsible for the documenting and communicating the activities of the Collective.
Club Secretary prepares agendas, arranges for minutes to be taken,
distributes minutes, disseminates club enquiries and responds accordingly.

​

Ride Activities

Mike Duckett

​

Overarching responsibility for all club ride activities. Ensuring they are adequately coordinated resourced,
run in line with the clubs ride etiquette and safety standards.

​

Welfare & Community Liaison Officer

Tim Morris


Building relationships with Community Hubs, Agencies, Sports Clubs in the local area, communicate and
coordinate shared initiatives related to Cycling, Health Benefits etc.

Treasurer

Grant Livingstone

Managing income and expenditure. Reports regularly to the committee on the club’s financial status.
Prepares/presents audited financial year-end report to the annual general meeting.

 

Events Lead

Simon Hogg

Co-ordinates and ensures agreed Key Club Events\Activities\Destination Rides are managed and resourced.

 

Marketing, PR & Social Media Lead 

Michael Jenkins (MJ)


Responsibilities include overseeing the club's marketing and communications strategy, sponsorship.
 

Creation and publishing of all content etc on Social Media feeds.

Lady Lanternes Lead

Providing equal access as well as women-specific access\activities to cycling within the club. WLRCC are
proud pioneers of the Lady Lanternes Women’s specific rides.

Club Kit Master

Rich Poynter 


Ensure that the club has WLRCC branded clothing for racing and riding. Selection of appropriate kit suppliers taking into account club ethos and quality vs cost. Maintaining designs, good supplier
relationships and maintaining stock

Membership Secretary

Bridget Connolly


Administrates the clubs membership scheme, responds to Membership enquiries and queries.

Web Developer & Graphic Design

Responsible for Ongoing Development of Website, Design Maintenance, Content updates.

Harvey Keefe (Graphic Designer)

Responsible for creating all club marketing material, posters, graphics in line with club requirements.

Zwift Lead

 Assist and enable Zwift Captains in the running of ZRL,TTT and other on line events. Raise awareness of virtual indoor cycling to wider club membership. 

Cyclocross (CX) Lead

Robin Baker

​

Promote CX within the club & raise awareness of what is involved in CX competition. Undertake CX ride out sessions for club members so they can get involved if enough interest.
